CentACS Difference

CentACS—Leading the Way in the Five-Factor Model of Personality

CentACS is a leader in applying the Five-Factor Model of Personality to work and educational settings.

Our founders, Dr. Pierce Howard and Jane Mitchell Howard are the authors of the WorkPlace Big Five Profile™ 4.0 and theSchoolPlace Big Five Profile™ 4.0, our primary assessments.

Meaningful to the business community

The business community began to take the Big Five seriously when Dr. Pierce J. Howard and Jane Mitchell Howard’s article was published in the September 1995 issue of Training and Management, the trade magazine of the America Society for Training and Development. The article, titled “Buddy, Can You Paradigm?” gives a brief history of the development of the model and explains how it can be used to understand individuals, relationships and teams in work situations.

Today, it is used world-wide in organizational and corporate settings to develop leaders and effective teams and individuals.

An effective tool for schools, colleges and universities

The Howards have now also introduced the Big Five into the educational environment to provide exceptional benefits to students.

Schools, colleges and universities can apply the SchoolPlace Big Five Profile™ to help students with personal development and career decisions. Organizations can use SchoolPlace to help make hiring decisions about students entering the work world directly from an educational setting.
